Get to know our Dance Company

The fact that the arts academy is in full development is credited to all the students who have entered our doors in the last 16 years, as well as to our long-time collaborator Emilian Iftimie.

Emilian has photographed and filmed many of our events, including the weddings of most of our brides and grooms.

His work offers a unique quality that we warmly recommend due to his passion and involvement.

Choreographer

Petronela Despa, lovingly known as Joy, is a passionate choreographer originally from Iasi, Romania, who has made London her home since 2018.

With 16 years of dance experience, Joy has a special talent for creating unique choreographies for all age groups. In recent years, she has focused on theater performances and wedding dances, adding a touch of her personal flair to each piece.

Joy's journey in dance is impressive. She was a champion in sports dance and an Olympian in classical dance. Over the years, she has participated in and won numerous dance competitions. She has also served as a judge in many national and international dance competitions.

Joy has shared her love for dance by teaching sport dance, classical dance, contemporary dance, modern dance, and gypsy dance in various settings, including kindergartens, schools, and private dance clubs in both Romania and England.

Her commitment to her craft is evident in her continuous learning. She has attended countless seminars, workshops, and masterclasses with leading experts, constantly honing her skills.

Joy's education in dance and psychotherapy has helped her develop a unique teaching style that blends technical expertise with an empathetic approach.

Since moving to London, Joy has had the privilege of performing in several choreographies:

● "It's Not That Deep" by Yassmine Foster

● "Get Right, Mr. Jones" by Louise Kelsey

● "Acts of Light (1981)" by Martha Graham, facilitated by Sarah Sulemanji

● "Pieces Pieces" by Sian Hopkins

● "Instruments of Dance" by April Brown

She has also created her own pieces that delve into the struggles of the inner child, childhood traumas, and emotional development. Using non-verbal movements and objects to express and release emotions, her works include:
● "Love and Dance"

● "Breath"

● "Communication"

● "Quiet"

● "In Loving Memory"
● "Rest",

● "Inside (Outside)"

He also creates promotional content for businesses and attends many anniversaries, parties, and private events.

Mr. Iftimie was a hip-hop singer many years ago, which means his ear for rhythm is very well developed, and all the songs attached to his videos are perfectly synchronized for maximum effect.

Customers, friends, family, and collaborators consider Emilian to be a calm, warm, educated, talented, and very patient person, which makes his presence unobtrusive. Most of them recommend him for his seriousness, professionalism, and the quality of his work.
